By entering the competition (“Win a $500 Gift Card for your dad”) you agree to these terms and conditions:
1. PRIVACY By entering this competition, you agree that your details including your email address may be used to keep you informed about Ballantynes promotions, products, events, and news.
Ballantynes complies with the standard procedures to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept secure and processed fairly and lawfully. We will not share your information with third parties. 2. To enter, spend $50 or more in-store or online across our Ballantynes stores until Sunday 6th September 11:59pm. If you shop online, you will be automatically entered into the draw to win. Gift card purchases and services are excluded from the competition, including Kin Bistro, Tailoring, Tearooms, Beauty & Makeup services, and Solace.
3. There is 1 draw made at random and the winner will be notified by phone the week commencing Monday 7th September, 2026. The $500 Gift Card is fully redeemable on product.
4. The 1 winner (“Win a $500 Gift Card for your dad”) will receive an e-voucher from Ballantynes. This prize will need to be redeemed within 90 days from receiving the e-voucher.
5. If a Prize is not claimed by the first winner selected at random a new winner will be contacted on the same day, Ballantynes reserves the right to award a Prize to an alternative winner and you will be notified the prize has been rewarded to an alternative winner.
6. No part of the prize is redeemable for cash or credit. If you choose not to redeem your prize, there will be no compensation.
7. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-negotiable. There is no cash alternative. Ballantynes reserves the right to substitute the Prize for one of its choosing which has a value the same or greater than the original prize in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
8. By entering the competition, the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as Ballantynes may require.
9. Ballantynes reserves the right to (i) cancel this promotion, (ii) cancel or refuse any individual’s entry and (iii) amend these terms and conditions (and will use reasonable attempts to notify changes to entrants and potential entrants). R.M. William Father's Day Competition
Terms & Conditions – R.M. Williams Father's Day competition (In-store only)
Valid between 15 August - 6 September 2026. Please see below for detailed terms and conditons:
- Spend $200 NZD or more in one transaction in-store on eligible R.M.Williams product at any participating Australian stockist or spend $200 NZD or more in one transaction in-store on eligible R.M.Williams product at any participating New Zealand stockist; and
- Enter the draw by scanning the QR code supplied in-store and complete all required information on the entry form. Upon completing the above, individuals will be awarded one (1) entry into the draw.
- Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry is permitted per transaction regardless of the amount spent in that transaction; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.

- Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included. Any balance of the prize value will not be awarded as cash.
- Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not redeem the prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
- If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. - The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.

- If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate

- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia or any statutory consumer guarantees as provided under consumer protection laws in New Zealand (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
- Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
- As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
- The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.rmwilliams.com.au/footer-privacy-policy/Footer-privacy-Policy.html?lang=en_AU. Ballantynes Christmas Windows Design Competition Terms & Conditions
By entering this competition, the entrant acknowledges that its purpose is to showcase Christmas window–themed products that are unique and do not infringe upon any copyright or trademark laws.
A. Definitions
1.‘Ballantynes’ means J Ballantyne & Company Limited (Trading as “Ballantynes”), and all brands controlled by or associated with those entities.
2.Participants include School Employees, School Pupils, and Parents / Caregivers / Grandparents / or other Family Members of the School Pupils that do not have an association with Ballantynes.
3.The ‘Judging Panel’ will consist of Ballantynes’ Employees and or external experts from creative fields appointed by Ballantynes. This includes anyone who is employed by the company, engaged as a contractor, or otherwise formally connected to Ballantynes
4.‘Promoter’ is J Ballantyne & Company Limited (Trading as Ballantynes) whose registered office is at 43 Lichfield Street, Christchurch, 8011, New Zealand.
5.‘Competition’ for the purposes of these terms and conditions refers to ‘The Ballantynes School Christmas Window Design Competition’ and subsequent events or activities.
6.‘Disqualified Participants’ include Employees or Contractors of Ballantynes or their immediate family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
7.‘Entrant’ is the school that is participating in the competition.
8.‘Project Lead’ is a school’s primary contact and project manager responsible for ensuring the competition deadlines for design, construction and implementation are met.
B. Registration/Entry
9.‘Entries to this competition must be made via the website form before submission of ideas/concepts. Deadlines for submission will be no later than Friday, 15 May 2026.
10.To register your interest, participants must provide Ballantynes the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address (to be used for specific communication relating to this competition unless otherwise specified)
- Name of School
11.No in-store or online purchase is necessary to enter or participate in this competition.
12.‘Disqualified’ Participants may not enter the Competition.
13.Ballantynes reserves the right (in its sole discretion) to exclude any person from participating in this competition on reasonable grounds.
14.PRIVACY By entering this competition, you agree that your details, including your email address may be used to keep you informed about details surrounding the competition. Ballantynes will ensure that the personal information you give us is kept secure and process fairly and lawfully. We will not share your information with third parties.
16.Ballantynes reserves the right to refuse to award any prize to an entrant who Ballantynes decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the Rules or gained an unfair advantage in participating in this competition.
17.By participating, entrants grant Ballantynes exclusive permission to use their school names, photographs, videos, voices, and product in connection with this competition and for future marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such u18. Permission is to be obtained by the entrant from the parents/guardians in advance of the competition for using any imagery of students participating in the competition.
19.Personal information provided at the time of entry is presumed to be true and, in the case of text or email notification— active, through to and beyond the date of the Promotion’s completion.
20.The entrant is responsible for identifying the key project lead. That project lead will be the key contact that Ballantynes will liaise with during the competition. The project lead is responsible for ensuring all competition deadlines are met, including the window concept, detailed design, construction, and implementation.
21.The withdrawal from the competition cannot be beyond Friday, 31 July 2026. Any withdrawal will require the return of the supply budget which is provided by Ballantynes to each entrant at the beginning of the competition to help with their build.
C. Window Display Creation
By entering this competition, the entrant agrees:
22. Entrants or key project lead must make themselves available Saturday 21st November 2026 at Ballantynes in Christchurch for the purpose of the window unveiling and prizegiving.
23. Any costs incurred to attend the event and being available on site are at the entrant’s own cost.
24. Entrants must behave appropriately when taking part in this competition and agrees to observe all procedures and rules and obey all instructions in force or given by any Ballantynes representatives or any other person appointed in connection with the management including Health and Safety, Fire Safety, and security arrangements.
25. The judging panel will be interested in, among other things, Design Concept, Visual presentation, and Storytelling as laid out in the criteria set out in the briefing document.
26. Following the window reveal, the ‘Judging Panel’ will determine the winner. The Judges' decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
27. By entering this competition, the entrant is responsible for managing the execution of their allocated window space and delivering the window by the agreed date.
28. Each entrant selected to take part in the windows competition will receive a $1,500 supply budget which will be paid into the official entrant's bank account within 10 days after receiving all required documentation is returned in full.
29. Installation must take place between Monday the 21st of September 2026 and Thursday the 19th of November 2026. Installation can take place at any point during this time; however, it needs to be scheduled in advance with a minimum of a week's notice of when the entrants' representatives will be onsite. Any work that may potentially disrupt trade—such as activities that generate significant disturbance or involve the movement of large equipment must be undertaken outside of store operating hours.
30. Full window removal is required by the entrant between 5th – 10th of January 2027. Removal can take place at any point during this time; however, it needs to be scheduled in advance with a minimum of a week's notice of when entrant representatives will be onsite. All display materials and props are the property of the dedicated entrant. The window must be restored to its original condition. All competition materials must be collected within this period; any items not retrieved will be discarded.
31. Any electrical materials used within the display, i.e. lighting/ motors must be tag tested and approved by a Ballantynes supplied electrician. Please liaise with the Visual Design Merchandiser Supervisor on your requirements so that this can be factored into timelines.
32. Ballantynes will not be liable for any injuries sustained during the installation and or removal of the window displays. A trained first aider provided by Ballantynes will be onsite during installation and removal of windows.
D. The Prize
33. The Prize includes:
a. First prize $10,000
b. Second prize $3,000
c. Third prize $2,000
People’s choice: $3,000
34. The Judges' determination of the Winner(s) will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
35.The prize is non-transferable, and non-negotiable. Ballantynes reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of its choosing, which has a value the same or greater than the original prize in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
36.The prize will be paid into the winning entrant’s official bank account within 10 working days of winners being announced. The prize money is to be reinvested into the school (s) only. The prize cannot be transferred to a staff member, school attendees or anyone affiliated with the school.
37.The winner(s) of any prizes as part of this Competition gives permission for Ballantynes to document how this prize money is spent within the school and can be used within marketing materials as deemed fitting by Ballantynes.
E. Ballantynes Responsibility
38.Ballantynes reserves the right to amend, vary, extend, or discontinue this Competition at any stage, for any reason.
39.To the fullest extent permitted by law Ballantynes will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury.
40.Entrant or key project lead must be available for an onsite health and safety briefing by Ballantynes prior to window installation. Key project lead is responsible for team to abide by health and safety guidelines while onsite.
F. Acceptance
41.Participation in the Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
42.By Participating in this Competition, the entrant agrees that all information provided is true and accurate and that no misleading information has been provided to Ballantynes at any point during the Competition.
43. By Participating in this Competition, the entrant agrees to Ballantynes Marketing them and how the prize is spent.
44. If the Winner does not accept these Terms and Conditions, their eligibility to win will be forfeited, and they will be immediately disqualified from the Competition.
45. Ballantynes guidelines set out in the brief must be adhered to within the window display.

Click & Collect is a free service.
All product on the website qualifies for Click & Collect unless marked 'check availability instore' or orders requiring delivery more than one week in advance.
We aim to have your order fulfilled within 24 hours after completing the transaction.
All Click & Collect orders are collected from Customer Services, Lower Ground floor, Ballantynes Christchurch during store opening hours.
If an item is found to be out of stock you will be contacted within 24 hours with alternative products or refunded. Normal website availability clauses apply (see below.)
The Click & Collect service is selected on the delivery details page of the checkout, or requested when speaking to Customer Services on the phone.
Click & Collect orders qualify for gift-wrapping and this should be selected in the checkout or when speaking to Customer Services on the phone.
Your Click & Collect order will be held for a maximum of 30 days. After this the purchaser will be contacted to arrange courier delivery or cancellation (with the exception of Sale items). If not reachable, the goods will be returned to stock, your order canceled and your payment refunded.
You will be asked for a copy of the 'ready to collect' email (either printed or on a mobile device) to collect your order and to show Photo ID.
Your order can be collected on your behalf. Please contact Customer Services prior to them collecting your order. The recipient would need to provide a copy of the 'ready to collect' email (either printed or on a mobile device) to collect your order and Photo ID.
If you need to change Click & Collect order to courier delivery, please contact Customer Services to do this. Note that courier delivery is charged for.

Gift Cards
Gift Cards expire 60 months from date of purchase. They can be used as a payment method on the website and in conjunction with a credit card to complete an order online or over the phone. They cannot be used to pay off an account. Gift cards purchased online or over the phone from us are delivered by courier, are trackable and must be signed for.

Christchurch Delivery Area
The Christchurch Delivery Area is based on the Postcode boundaries defined by NZ Post as 'Christchurch City' and includes the region bounded by the Waimakariri River to the north, Templeton to the west, south-east to Governor's Bay (and Diamond Harbour) and north along the coast through Lyttleton and Sumner back to the Waimakariri. Delivery within this area is $8 per standard-sized order. Any deliveries outside of this area in New Zealand are at $13 per standard-sized order.
Credit Card Liability
In the event that you receive unsolicited charges on your credit card bill, most credit card suppliers agree in their credit card terms and conditions to limit the amount of fraudulent charges for which the cardholder will be liable.
