A wooden toy train loaded with Christmas goodies is depicted on this German paper advent calendar. The train chugs along through the snowy forest floor with a mouse holding a lantern to light the way in the night of an enchanted woods on Christmas Eve. Each train car is packed with gingerbread, fruit, fir trees and stuffed toys. The charming scene is framed with cut out stars, moon & hearts and woodland animals.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open, with each hiding a little picture. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24 during the count down to Christmas. A great activity with children and family.
