Côtes-du-Rhône Village has a beautiful, deep, ruby ??red color. The aroma is immediate, aromatic and crisp, very classic Côtes-du-Rhône, with lots of fresh fruit nuances of cherries and plums. On the palate, it is a bit darker in style, with notes of blackberry and a bit of pepper. It develops nicely in the glass and gains more concentration and harmony. It ends with a nice combination between fullness and freshness, which makes it very charming.

Côtes-du-Rhône Village is made from grapes from the 5 ha. vineyards Château Maucoil owns south of Orange, right on the border with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, and which are cultivated organically. Soil conditions are very similar to Châteauneuf, with mainly clay, lime, sand and round deposit stones. The wine is made from Grenache (50%), Syrah and Carignan, which are harvested manually at optimum maturation in small boxes of 15 kg. Both fermentation and maturation take place in steel tanks.

The wine will match grilled beef, lamb or veal, preferably with Provencal spices. Also use it for stews with game. Also perfect for mild white mold cheeses. Served at 14-16°C.
