Love Cocoa is a chocolate company started by James Cadbury. His inspiration came from his great-great-great-grandfather, John Cadbury, who set up Cadbury Chocolate nearly 200 years ago. The philanthropist built Cadbury on ethical grounds, looking after its workforce and improving civil rights. The family is no longer involved in the business and the practices have changed, but James wishes to carry on the original traditions of his ancestors. They take great care in sourcing their chocolate, not just ensuring that they select the best tasting chocolate, but that it is sourced in a sustainable way. They work to ensure the farmers are paid higher than the market price and work with small, family run businesses. Their intense 70% Ecuadorian chocolate is deep, velvety and foreful with notes of dark fruit, ripened plum and concentrated bitter-sweet smokiness from the 'ancestral home' of the cocoa bean.
