Paint & Sip: Home Event 2026 | Sunday, 28 June 2026
Experience a creative escape at our Paint & Sip session, held as part of the Ballantynes Home Event: a four day celebration of style, inspiration, and hands on experiences.
Guests are invited to arrive 10 -15 minutes early to check in, slip on an apron, and settle into their seat before the painting begins. Everything you need is provided, and no prior painting experience is required. Tickets are $69 and include the equipment, your finished artwork to take home plus wine and nibbles provided throughout the session.
One of the Paint & Sip Studio artists will guide you step by step through the featured artwork, helping you create your own masterpiece in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Over 1 1/2 hours of painting, sipping, and unwinding, you’ll enjoy a creative break from the everyday and leave with a finished artwork to take home. Photos are captured throughout the session and shared on the Paint & Sip Studio Facebook page, and best of all, they take care of the clean up. Tickets are limited, so get in quick!
The Art of Preserving: Home Event 2026
Experience a flavour‑filled masterclass at The Art of Preserving - From Jar to Board, held as part of the Ballantynes Home Event. Guests are invited to arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in, enjoy a themed cocktail from Cardrona Distillery with canapés (soft drink option will be available), and settle in before the demonstration begins.
Hosted by Ciaran from the Miele Experience Centre and elevated with premium spirits from Cardrona Distillery, this 1¼‑hour session will guide attendees through the craft of modern preserving and pickling. Ciaran will demonstrate five different creations from vibrant pickles to small‑batch jams and house‑made ketchups. He will be showcasing techniques that help you make the most of your own home‑grown produce and take your preserving to the next level.
Throughout the session, for $35 guests will be able to taste the finished products and learn how to transform these homemade elements into a standout cheese board featuring flavours you simply can’t buy in a supermarket. It’s an inspiring, practical experience designed to help you create preserves that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

'Tangleby Gardens' Books & Bubbles: Home Event 2026
Learn Sue’s top cooking and baking tips, honed over decades of practise. Hear her favourite appliances and must have utensils to make your everyday cooking foolproof.
As part of the $40 ticket, guests will receive:
- A glass of bubbles on arrival (soft drink option will be available)
- 5 canape sized sweet and savoury samples from her recipe books during the event, including her famous Tangleby High Tea Scones with jam & cream!
Over the course of an hour, Sue will be running through her top cooking/baking tips and showing you her must-have pieces of kitchenware to make your home cooking fool proof. Please note this will be set up in a theatre style with both high and low seating, not as a high tea.

Watch as she styles a winter‑ready table using cookware, ceramics, utensils, faux florals, and decorative accents to craft an inviting, high‑impact setting perfect for entertaining. From layering textures to thoughtful finishing touches, you’ll learn how to create a table your guests will love gathering around.
She’ll also share a few simple ideas for subtly transitioning your home from summer to winter, with the main focus on making your dining space feel warm, considered, and ready for the season ahead.
