It's official – one of the best sales of the year is nearly here. The Ballantynes Summer SALE is the perfect chance for you to shop those beautiful pieces on your wishlist, stock up on staples and find investment items at a discount. To ensure you check off all the items you have been coveting on your wishlist, we have curated the ultimate guide for you to thrive in this year’s SALE – its a good read, even for the most seasoned shopaholic!

1. The Essential Details:

Preparation is the key for a seamless shopping experience. Here is the important information:

Where: The SALE is located at our Christchurch, Timaru and Invercargill stores.

When: Friday 24th of January 10:00am – 7:00pm (Our hours do vary throughout the Summer Sale – check out our store hours for more information)

Parking: For our Christchurch customers, the best parking for a quick entry is in the Lichfield Street carpark or The Crossing carpark.

Tip: If you park in the Lichfield carpark, you can even grab the yellow lift (as opposed to the red or purple lifts) to bring you straight to the store - ideal for a quick entry!

For our Timaru customers if our carpark is full, there is plenty of off-street parking along Canon and Stafford streets. 

For our Invercargill customers, parking is available in the Invercargill Central multi-level carpark building accessed driving east via Tay Street.

2. Dress for Success:

We have all been there – wearing a great-looking outfit, only to find it totally unsuitable for the occasion. When you are choosing your SALE outfit remember to consider:

Clothing: If you’re hitting the fashion departments, forget impossible zips and tight jeans. Find something easy to change in and out of for an efficient changing room experience. Remember to accessorise minimally – there is nothing worse than jewellery catching onto clothing.

Footwear: You don’t have to sacrifice style to be comfortable choosing footwear to wear to the Summer SALE – think the staple white sneaker, functional sandals, low-heeled boots. Believe us, your feet will thank you!

3. Remain Refreshed

Nothing boosts a slump in shopping morale quite like a strong coffee and some food. Luckily– we have you covered. If you are shopping in Christchurch and require a pick-me-up, Kin Café | Deli | Winebar is located next to homewares or alternatively visit The Tea Rooms on the lower ground floor. For our Timaru Shoppers, JB’s café is great for a refuel! 

4. Drop Your Baggage

We have a baggage hold available for those bulkier purchases. Just visit our Customer Service Desk on the Lower Ground Floor of our Christchurch store, or talk to our friendly staff in Timaru to free up your hands. Drop off whatever is holding you back and keep on shopping!
